This shake is perfectly suited to help transition as we finish up summer. Nectarines are given a warming kick with fresh ginger and nutmeg. These two spices add in an immunity boost and digestive aid. Blend it up and enjoy any time of the day.
Prep time: 5 minutes
2 large ripe nectarines, roughly chopped
8 ounces coconut water
4 ice cubes
¼ cup hemp seed
1 whole nutmeg
1 inch chunk of ginger
½ teaspoon cinnamon
2 teaspoons coconut palm sugar (optional)
Slice the nectarines, remove the pit and chop roughly. Place in a high speed blender along with the coconut water, ice and hemp seeds.
Use a microplane or box grater to grate a quarter of the nutmeg as well as the ginger. Place into the blender with the cinnamon.
Blend on high for 45 seconds until smooth and creamy.
