Plant-based diet 101

A plant-based diet focuses on whole foods and, well, plants! It doesn’t necessarily have to mean you’re “vegan” or any other label. It means you consume a diet rich in whole fruits, whole vegetables, whole grains, whole nuts, and seeds, etc. Most importantly, we are placing whole foods above all else, and limiting processed foods, just like the Clean Program.

Do you know all these vitamin C benefits?

Our bodies don’t make vitamin C, but we need it for immune function, bone structure, iron absorption, and healthy skin. It’s water-soluble and found in many fruits and vegetables, including oranges, strawberries, kiwi, bell peppers, broccoli, kale, and spinach. While it’s common to try to get your vitamin C benefits from foods, many people also turn to supplements to meet their needs.
