Did you make a New Year’s resolution? I think resolutions are great. They help many people start something they have been wanting to do for a long time, but for whatever reason, haven’t.
When it comes to health, a one-pointed resolution, such as lose weight, is the most common type of resolution I hear about. And for some people, it works. But too often people start full force and a few days later, they slip and abandon the resolution too fast. I have many patients who have had the same resolution every year, only to find themselves exactly where they were before the last January first, or even worse.
With my team at Clean, we want to show you another type of resolution. One that will last you longer and it is much more interesting. We are talking about the SYSTEM DESIGN RESOLUTION. It is resolving to build a wellness system that works for you. Learning tools that will allow you not only to get healthier (and lose weight if that is where your focus is at), but also create a way in which you can learn what foods are good for you, deal with recovering from acute unplanned events (cold, flu, bronchitis, UTI, food poisoning, etc.) and even help guide you through learning what approaches to medicine are best for your needs.
A great system is one that has a solid base as a skeleton to which you can add other plans, programs, and interventions when needed. The Clean System is just that. Simple, effective, and compatible with almost all wellness theories and practices out there. It is centered around a simple truth that has been under our alarm radar for too long: we live in a toxic world. The air we breathe, the water we drink and shower with, the medications we take, the cosmetics we apply, the cleaning products we use, but most of all the foods we eat, are all loaded with artificial chemicals that alone or in combination cause damage in the body.
And we all carry the answer to this problem within us—our detoxification-elimination system. We all need to reduce our toxic burden (accumulation of internal and external toxins) and learning how to can be the difference between chronic dis-ease and vibrant health. It is the most basic and obvious set of principles, but only when you see the big picture for what it is. Your body is your house. Who decorates and equips one’s home without first giving it a good clean-up? And it is not a one-time thing. We need to maintain the cleanliness if we want to have a good experience in our homes. We do that with daily maintenance and once in a while, a deep cleaning up.
The backbone of the Clean System is to learn just that, how to do a deep clean-up, and how to maintain the body clean in between deep cleans. We will teach you what chemicals we are exposed to, how they enter our body, what damage they can cause; how the body already knows how to bio-transform these chemicals so they are non-toxic, water-soluble, and can be eliminated; what nutrients are needed each step of the way, and also why our detox systems today cannot keep up with the work needed in such a toxic environment and what to do about it.
No matter what lifestyle you may currently be leading– paleo, vegan, keto, the blood type diet, Atkins, vegetarian, pescatarian, etc.– the Clean System is compatible with all and will add enormous value to your health and wellbeing. We are excited to share more about this system as we move into the new year and provide new offerings to help you live your most vibrant life.
We will guide and support you throughout the year and show you how the detox system works, how it fails, how to restore its full function, how it interacts with all the other major systems in your body, and what role diet plays. I’ve had patients adopt this system for years now with incredible success, I’m excited for you to do the same.
Happy New Year!
