This spicy cauliflower recipe comes from our friends at Thrive Market. Perfect as a side dish or main course, this recipe brings the heat with plenty of turmeric, cumin, garlic and ginger. It's also fantastically easy to throw together. We bet you won't be able to stop making it.

Serves: 1 as a main or 2 as a side
Prep time: 10 minutes
Cook time: 20 minutes
What you'll need:
1 sharp knife
1 large skillet or frying pan
1 1/2 tablespoons coconut oil
1 teaspoon cumin seeds
2 medium red onions
1/2 teaspoon ground turmeric
1 medium small cauliflower
1 small red chili, deseeded (*omit for Cleanse)
1 garlic clove
1 inch piece of fresh ginger
3 tablespoons fresh cilantro
2 tablespoons water
pinch sea salt
sliced almonds or sesame seeds (for garnish)
Finely slice the cauliflower and red onions. Peel and grate the ginger and garlic. Chop the cilantro.
Heat the oil in a large skillet or frying pan over medium-high heat. Add the cumin seeds and cook until they begin to pop and crackle. Add the sliced onions, turmeric and a pinch or two of salt. Cook for approximately 8 minutes until the onions begin to caramelize. Add the sliced red chili, garlic and ginger.
Add the cauliflower and stir well to coat everything with the spices. Add the water, then cover the pan and cook the cauliflower over medium heat for 6 minutes until al dente.
Remove from the heat and stir in the cilantro. Finish with a sprinkle of sliced almonds or sesame seeds. Enjoy!
